History of Hockey in Lambton

Do you have amazing memories of hockey in Lambton County? Maybe you played in a children’s league or played pond hockey with friends on Lake Chipican. Lambton County Museums are looking for stories, photos and specific objects to help document the history of hockey in Lambton County.
Your memories and photographs will help preserve the history of hockey here in Lambton County and demonstrate what this great game means to our community. Use the form below to submit photos and stories directly to the Archives or fill out information about objects that you have and would be willing to loan to Lambton Heritage Museum for the exhibit. Specific objects that Lambton Heritage Museum is looking for includes:
- Hockey skates
- Jerseys
- Hockey sticks
- Trophies or medals
A selection of objects from the community will be chosen to be on display at Lambton Heritage Museum during the "Hockey Exhibition" from the Canadian Museum of History. All artifacts must be in good condition and have a connection to Lambton County. Examples include from local hockey teams, used by a family to play on the neighbourhood rink, used by notable hockey players with connections to Lambton County, etc.
